Entertainment Line-Up for Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Fest

The 2011 All Star Entertainment Line-Up for the 2nd Annual Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Fest on Saturday, September 10th has been finalized.  This year's featured local Blues Bands and performance times are as follows: 



12:00 pm - 1:15 pm -  Little Bill and the Bluenotes
 
1:45 pm - 3:00 pm Rod Cook & Toast 

3:30 pm - 4:45 pm -  Fabulous Roofshakers 

5:15 pm - 6:45 pm -  Left Hand Smoke

The Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Fest will be located on the shores of Puget Sound  at the Des Moines Beach Park.   Enjoy  a day filled with local blues together with a variety of fine brews from local breweries.  To complement your blues and brews, we will be barbecuing Bratwurst and B&E Market's famous Tri Tip for your dining enjoyment.  This is an outdoor event  and will be held rain or shine, you must be 21 or older to attend and no pets will be allowed inside the event.  No outside food or beverages allowed. Low lawn chairs and picnic blankets allowed.  There will be plenty of free parking in the Des Moines Marina.  While you are in town, you might want to visit the Des Moines Farmer's Market and the Poverty Bay Arts Festival

Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at the gate. Six tasting tokens included with the price of admission.

The Little Club With The Big Heart Recognized In The Highline Times!

Rotary at Work!

The Rotary Club of Des Moines went to work on Saturday June 11th in partnership with Normandy Park Christian Church, Citadel Church and Grace Lutheran Church to clean up four yards in the city of Des Moines. The annual project was coordinated by Community Service Chair and Rotarian, Steve Swank. Photos from the RotoMow Project can be viewed below:

2011 Rotary Club of Des Moines Installation Photos
