On May 18th, President Al Isaac presented a certificate to Mairin Corkern, winner of the 2011 Rotary Club of Des Moines Scholarship. The presentation took place at the annual Des Moines Dollars for Scholars award ceremony, held at the Des Moines Yacht Club. Mairin is the only birth child in her family of 16 children from five countries around the world. Rotarian, Dr. Bonnie Verhunce, headed the Rotary's scholarship selection committee.
